About

Cabinet layouts built around the room

Custom cabinetry combines storage planning, cabinet construction, hardware selection, and finish work. We can shape the layout for a kitchen, bathroom, office, commercial space, or specialty project. The main buyer choice is how much of the room should be tailored. Full-height units can add storage, while open shelving can reduce cabinet cost and visual weight. Drawers improve access, but they use different hardware and internal space than doors. Cost rises with complex angles, built-in panels, premium materials, special finishes, unusual hardware, and changes to walls or utilities. Budget is often wasted when cabinet dimensions are chosen before appliances, plumbing, lighting, or flooring are settled. We plan those relationships before the cabinet order and installation work move ahead.

Process

How your cabinet plan moves from room to installation

1

Review the room and storage goals

We discuss what the room needs to hold, how you use it, and where current cabinets create trouble.

2

Map cabinet sizes and clearances

We measure the room and plan doors, drawers, shelves, appliance gaps, wall returns, and walk paths.

3

Choose materials and finishes

We compare cabinet materials, surface finishes, hardware, countertops, and related trim based on use and appearance.

4

Coordinate connected construction

We align cabinetry with lighting, flooring, fixtures, plumbing, electrical work, and any layout changes in the remodel.

5

Install and check the details

We set the cabinets, align faces and doors, test drawers and hardware, then review the finished work with you.

What to prepare before cabinet planning

A few room details help us build a more useful cabinet plan from the first consultation.

  • List the items you want each cabinet or drawer to store.
  • Mark appliances, plumbing fixtures, outlets, windows, and doors on a room sketch.
  • Collect finish ideas, hardware preferences, and photos of styles you like.
  • Note any access limits, wall concerns, or trim that must remain.
  • Decide which storage features matter most if the project needs scope choices.

We map cabinet sizes, storage zones, finishes, and related room work before installation details are finalized.

After experiencing water damage in our home, we needed to replace all our flooring, some kitchen cabinets, and redo our primary bath. Linda and her team truly saved the day after a disappointing experience with another contractor. She worked closely with us to choose the perfect tiles for our bathroom and find flooring that suited our home. Her contractors did exceptional work, from leveling the floors to installation and cabinet remaking, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Linda answered all our questions along the way, and we cannot speak highly enough of the work she and her team performed!

Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.

Best remodel experience we have ever had. The oversight, careful workmanship and ownership of the project was above expectations. Our design team was amazing. We also had the same person do all the work start to finish and was a total Pro. Could not recommend enough and will be doing any and all projects through them. This place is a gem.

Questions about planning and buying custom cabinets

Who provides custom cabinetry in Snoqualmie, Washington?

HomeRemodelSnoqualmie.link provides custom cabinetry for homeowners and commercial clients in Snoqualmie, Washington. We plan cabinet layouts, storage features, materials, finishes, and installation as part of remodeling work. Our team can also coordinate cabinetry with countertops, lighting, flooring, fixtures, plumbing, electrical work, and layout changes when those items belong to the wider project.

What changes the cost of a cabinet project?

Cabinet size, material, finish, hardware, layout complexity, and installation conditions change the project cost. Full-height units, specialty pull-outs, built-in panels, angled corners, and custom trim often require more work. We discuss the room and requested features during a consultation, then prepare pricing around the selected scope instead of assigning a generic cabinet amount.

Should I choose stock cabinets or made-to-fit cabinets?

Made-to-fit cabinets suit rooms with unusual walls, tight clearances, special storage needs, or a strong design goal. Stock cabinets may suit simpler layouts with standard dimensions and fewer changes. We compare the available storage, filler space, hardware, finish, and installation demands before recommending a direction for your room.

How do cabinets work with countertops and appliances?

Cabinet layouts need to match appliance sizes, countertop edges, plumbing points, and nearby openings. We review those relationships before installation so doors and drawers have room to open. The plan also considers lighting, flooring, fixtures, and wall finishes when those items are part of the same remodeling project.

What should I bring to a cabinet consultation?

Room measurements, photos, appliance information, storage goals, and finish ideas give the consultation a useful starting point. Include details about outlets, plumbing, windows, doors, and trim that must stay. We use those details to discuss cabinet depth, drawer access, door swings, materials, and the parts of the project that need a quote.

Can cabinetry be part of a commercial tenant improvement?

Commercial cabinetry can support offices, tenant improvements, reception areas, workrooms, and other business spaces. We plan storage around staff movement, equipment, access, finish needs, and the wider construction scope. Share the room use, access limits, and operating concerns early so the cabinet layout supports the business instead of disrupting its work areas.

Common Mistakes With Custom Cabinetry

  • Choosing cabinet sizes before checking appliances can leave poor gaps or blocked openings. We check appliance clearances, wall returns, and walk paths before setting the layout.
  • Adding deep shelves without planning the stored items can create hard-to-reach space. We match shelf depth and drawer size to the items each zone must hold.
  • Selecting a finish before comparing countertops and lighting can create a room that feels disconnected. We review cabinet samples with the planned surfaces and fixtures.
  • Treating cabinet installation as separate from plumbing and electrical work can force costly changes. We coordinate the cabinet plan with outlets, fixtures, lighting, and utility locations.

Key Points About Custom Cabinetry

  • Cabinet depth and width should match the room, stored items, and nearby clearances.
  • Drawers, doors, pull-outs, and shelves serve different access needs.
  • Material, finish, hardware, and trim choices affect scope and cost.
  • Appliance, plumbing, lighting, and flooring decisions belong in the cabinet plan.
  • We check alignment, door movement, drawer operation, and finish details at installation.

When Customers Call Us About Custom Cabinetry

1

Cabinets Waste Valuable Corner Space

A corner cabinet may hold little when shelves, doors, and nearby walls compete for room. Custom planning can test a corner pull-out, angled cabinet, or built-in storage based on what you keep there. Bring a room sketch and a list of hard-to-store items to the consultation, so we can review access and cabinet depth before choosing a layout.

2

Office Storage Needs Better Work Flow

A home or commercial office may need cabinets for files, supplies, equipment, and daily work surfaces. The key decision is where storage should sit without blocking movement, outlets, lighting, or access. We can map the work zone, review door and drawer clearances, and connect the cabinet plan with the broader office remodel.

3

Cabinet Finishes Need Room Coordination

Cabinet color and sheen affect how countertops, flooring, lighting, and fixtures read together. Choosing the doors first can waste budget if the finish conflicts with the rest of the room. Bring samples or reference images, and we’ll compare the cabinet direction with the planned surfaces before the final selections are made.
