Define the unit's purpose
We discuss who will use the space, how it should function, and which rooms or work areas belong in the initial scope.
We plan and build accessory dwelling units around how you want to use the space. Our detailed planning connects layout, construction, finishes, and handover.
A separate unit gives the property a defined space for living, work, or another planned use.
Early spatial planning helps room layout, fixtures, lighting, and finish work support the same goal.
A managed construction scope keeps design decisions connected to the work completed on site.

Accessory dwelling unit construction joins design decisions with construction work for a separate space. We review the purpose of the unit, then develop a practical layout for rooms, fixtures, lighting, flooring, and finishes. The work may include spatial planning, construction, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, flooring, fixtures, and layout changes. The right scope depends on the property, the intended use, access, and the systems the unit needs. Our position is simple: the layout should be settled before finish choices take over the discussion. A clear plan helps the construction team coordinate handoffs and gives the client a better basis for reviewing the work.

We check the finished scope with you, address remaining details, and complete the handover.
We map the unit layout, fixtures, finishes, and construction handoffs through detailed planning and transparent project updates.

We coordinate interior and exterior construction, repairs, installations, and finishing work within the agreed unit scope.
Best remodel experience we have ever had. The oversight, careful workmanship and ownership of the project was above expectations. Our design team was amazing. We also had the same person do all the work start to finish and was a total Pro. Could not recommend enough and will be doing any and all projects through them. This place is a gem.
Linda and her team did an excellent job! We would highly recommend them. We hired her for a kitchen remodel and asked for a very tight timeline. She delivered and we absolutely love the result. She was very commutative and available to us. Thank you Design and Build NW!
Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.
Are you planning a separate living or work space? Request an estimate for your Snoqualmie project and discuss its layout, construction scope, and finishes.

A homeowner may need private living space while keeping the main home connected to family life. The layout must support daily movement, storage, fixtures, and a clear handoff between shared and separate areas. We start by discussing the intended users and the rooms they need, then map those choices into the construction scope.
A planned unit can serve as a work area now and support guests later. That choice affects lighting, flooring, storage, outlets, and room flow, so the first plan should allow for more than one use. We review those priorities before selecting finishes or moving into construction.
Limited access can affect how materials, fixtures, and finish items reach the work area. The issue needs attention before layout and construction decisions are locked in. We discuss access with the property goals, then coordinate the planned work from spatial planning through finishing and handover.
